Telepresence is the new buzz word in world-wide communications, as well as, live meeting production.
Big Picture has engaged this trend in a number of ways. First by embracing the new technology that is driving the phenomenon, and secondly, by achieving the telepresent results through different media and techniques that vary from the purist approach.
Telepresence as Effect:
Recently for Deltek Insight in Washington, DC, we incorporated Telepresence techniques by using a high definition 3D holographic video projection system to allow 3D holographic images to move within the live stage setting with impressive results. We incorporated the effect into all aspects of the General Session agenda by graphically supporting the opening act, floating presentation support graphics across the stage, and projecting virtual testimonials.
